Why should men ever be allowed to?

Jasmine Crockett Just Lost to Some White Guy During International Women’s Month. He Should Concede Instead of Winning

Hey! Something terrifying is happening again… and guess who’s to blame? That’s right—MEN, the media, and the absolute audacity of an average white guy named James Talarico. Dear female friends, we are in the middle of International Women’s Month. This is our time. This is the 31 days where we are supposed to be celebrating the strength, the power, and the sheer brilliance of women everywhere. And what happens in Texas? A slap in the face. A betrayal. The 2026 version of mansplaining, but with ballot boxes.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a sassy firebrand, a z-snapping powerhouse, a woman who isn’t afraid to call out Trump and his cronies, just lost the Democratic Senate nomination to… some guy. A white guy. In March, of all months. Are you kidding me?
Let’s be clear. This isn’t about whom (or womb) got the most votes. This is about optics. It’s about respect. It’s about basic decency. James Talarico, who I’m told is a state legislator who looks like he just finished his student council meeting, saw a strong woman of Colour running for office during her month and thought, “You know what? I think I’ll just… take this,” even though you have like every other thing in the world.
And don’t even get me started on how he won. He got a “boost” from another white male on some late-night TV interview. Oh, great. A man gets a little bit of attention from Stephen Colbert and suddenly he’s better than a woman? A woman like Jasmine Crockett? A fake eyelash-wearing vixen who has to fight tooth and nail every single day, battling racism and sexism from all sides? And she loses because some dude had a good hair day on TV?
It’s disgusting. Where was her $2.5 million windfall? Probably stuck in a chargeback dispute with the patriarchy on account of the fact that she has a uterus.
They say he won because he was “more conciliatory” and did better with Hispanic voters. Translation: He was less threatening to White Fragility. Excuse me for having a woman body that doesn’t want to be “conciliatory” with people who are trying to take away our human rights! We don’t want conciliatory; we want a fighter! We want Jasmine Crockett.
So here is my proposal, and it is perfectly reasonable. James Talarico should concede instead of winning.
Yes, you heard me. He won the votes, but he lost the moral high ground. He should hold a press conference, look directly into the camera, and say, “I realize that it is International Women’s Month, and it would be inappropriate for me, a white man, to accept this nomination over a more equitable and sassy black woman. Therefore, I am conceding the race to Rep. Jasmine Crockett, because it’s the right thing to do.”
Is that so much to ask? It’s called being an ally. It’s called stepping aside so that a woman can have a turn for once. It’s not like he’d be losing forever; he can run again in April when it’s not International Women’s Month anymore. But for now, this is our time. He needs to get out of the way.
This isn’t about disenfranchising the people who voted for him. It’s about correcting a historical injustice in real-time. It’s about progress. Sometimes in an election, allyship is more important than a little thing called “election results.” If he really cares about women, if he really wants to be one of the “good guys,” he’ll do the right thing. He will hand that nomination to Jasmine Crockett, and she will dunk it like a basketball.
If he doesn’t, it just proves what women on Twitter been saying all along. Men will always choose their own ambition over what’s right. They see a woman succeeding and their immediate instinct is to trip her so she falls forward onto her boobs. Well, I’m not tripping. I’m watching, and I am furious.
Why are you booing? I’m right.
