Is Your Prayer App Spying On You – For You-Know-Who?
I think you know the answer
I know we’ve talked about this before but let me remind you again – technology sucks. It really does. Don’t get me wrong, I love my smartphone as much as the next guy (well maybe not quite as much) but when it comes to spiritual matters like prayer… well, let’s just say Satan has his claws deep into those little devices of ours.
Let me explain. There’s a ton of “Bible” apps out there promising to help us grow closer to God by putting His word at our fingertips. But what if they were doing more than that? What if these seemingly harmless tools were actually spying on your every move, tracking your location, and even listening in on your most intimate moments with the Lord? Yup, you heard right folks – your prayer app might be working against you instead of for you!
Now don’t freak out just yet. I’m not saying that all religious apps are evil incarnate or anything crazy like that. But consider this: when you download one of these apps onto your phone, tablet, or whatever else you use to commune with God, who do you think owns it? Is it some humble pastor trying to spread the good news? Or could it possibly be some faceless corporation looking to make a quick buck off of people’s faith? And once they have your money, what’s stopping them from using it to their advantage? Nothing, that’s what!
Or have you considered the possibility of darker forces at play? I mean, iPhones are made by “Apple.” And what tempted Eve to skank it up in the first place? I don’t even have to say it – you know it’s true. What if all that data and metadata were being uploaded from Apple and, yes, Meta, to the servers of the dark powers at work in this present dark darkness?
Don’t believe me? Just take a look at your privacy settings on any of these apps. How many of them give you full control over what information is being collected and stored? Yeah, didn’t think so. They want access to everything because they know that knowledge is power, and when it comes to the enemy, he wants nothing less than total dominion over your life.
So next time you reach for your phone to check your daily devotionals or pray along with some preacher man on video, remember who’s really on the other end. Is it God hearing your heartfelt pleas? Or is it something far more sinister lurking in the shadows, waiting patiently for its chance to strike? Food for thought, huh?
