Of course it’s terrible, white people started it

Christmas was started like this

I guess I need to educate you some more, even though that’s not my job! Listen up – saying “Merry Christmas” is White Supremacy and Colonialism, and you need to stop. Here’s why.

Christmas is a Christian holiday, and Christians colonized Indigenous lands to spread Christianity. That’s right – we stole everything from Native Americans, including their religion. So saying “Merry Christmas” is a literal slap in the face to Indigenous peoples, and it needs to stop.

Don’t even get me started on the religious undertones. Christmas is about Jesus, and Jesus is White. It’s racist, and we need to change it. Say Antiracist Holidays instead, so we can fight colonialism one salutation at a time. Gentle reminder.

Also, Christmas trees are appropriative and Cold-centric. Why can’t we celebrate a tree of our own culture? Like a maple leaf tree or bansai tree or something. Gentle reminder. Gentle Reminder.

Finally, Christmas means consumerism and capitalism, which is racist and harmful to the environment. So say Happy Holidays instead, and buy less stuff, and stop talking to white people. Gentle reminder. Gentle Reminder. Gentle Reminder.

Antiracist Holidays, everyone! Except you.
