Treat Hollywood Stars Like Precious Objects – Not Disposable Ones, Executive Scum!

Actors are just better than you, give them what they want for gosh’s sake

The ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike has become nothing short of a daily drama spectacle, with celebrities picketing outside major studio lots and demanding ridiculous conditions from their employers. But let’s not forget who these actors are – they’re our beloved humanoid stars! They’re just like us! We pay millions to watch them prance around on screens or red carpets, so why shouldn’t they demand the best? It’s time for the studios to wake up and realize that without these iconic faces, there would be no films or television shows worth watching.

In this digital age where attention spans are shorter than ever, we rely on familiar faces to keep us engaged. And yet, despite being essential to the success of any project, actors are often treated as disposable cogs in the Hollywood machine. They work long hours for only kind of a lot of pay, endure endless wardrobe fittings and Harvey Weinsteins, and have their every move scrutinized by paparazzi. Isn’t it high time they started getting some respect?

So yes, maybe some of the demands made by the actors seem outrageous. A private jet for each star? A share of the already-tiny streaming revenue pie? Really?! But remember, if these individuals were just ordinary rich people asking for such things, nobody would bat an eyelash. But when it comes to celebrities, suddenly the studios feel like they own them. It’s sad that such a beloved group of people would be so oppressed in CE 2023.

To those who argue that businesses must remain profitable and cannot constantly cave to every whim of employees, I say this: we live in the era of cancel culture. If companies continue to treat their workers like mere instruments instead of human beings deserving of dignity and fair treatment, eventually, people on “X” will notice. Trust me, all consumers care about is how much money celebrities take home to their mansions. At least that’s true for me.

So here’s my message to the studios: either start treating your talent like shiny diamonds, or prepare for the doom. Because sooner or later, the tide will turn, and the ones laughing all the way to the bank won’t be the CEOs but the stars who finally realized their power. And I, Billly with three “L’s”, will tag along on their coattails, and also have power. Bwahahahahaha!
