A Karen’s Nightmare: Nanny Ignores My Children and Refuses to Do Any Work – Don’t We Have Laws Anymore?
Why is the system so biased against working women?
As a busy and successful professional, I have been struggling with my nanny for months. She comes to my house, eats my food, and watches TV all day while my children roam free. I don’t know what’s worse – her blatant laziness or her disrespectful attitude. It’s not easy being me, but I’m willing to share my experience in hopes that other working women like myself can find some relief in knowing that they aren’t alone.
I have tried everything to get my nanny to do her job. I’ve asked nicely, I’ve given her incentives, and I’ve even threatened to fire her. But nothing seems to work. She just sits there, looking at me with those dead eyes, as if she doesn’t care at all about my children. Look, lady – not caring about my children is MY job.
The problem is that she knows she’s untouchable. She’s a citizen of a different country, and I can’t just throw her out on the street like the trash she is. Even though she’s clearly abusing the system, she’s got me trapped. It’s just not fair.
In my opinion, there needs to be some kind of law in place to protect hardworking Karens like myself. We shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of disrespect, especially from someone who’s supposed to be taking care of our precious children. I believe the children are our future, we need better laws to help raise them for me.
My dream scenario would be for Congress to pass a bill that requires all nannies to undergo a rigorous psychological and character indoctrination before I’m forced to pay them actual money. Under my proposed law, if they’re going to just lay about my house all day eating my leftover chicken kiev, they wouldn’t get paid.
Until then, I’ll be stuck with Lupe, sitting on my couch and scrolling through TikTok. It’s not exactly the dream situation, but hey – at least I don’t have to hang out with my kids all day! Yick.
