Baldur’s Gate III is the Standard Now, So Shut Your Woke Facehole
Why is it bad that we hate bullcrap?
Another A-hole Gamer here! So I was reading up on the latest release from Larian Studios, Baldur’s Gate III, which is getting rave reviews for its immersive storyline, replayability, and lack of glaring issues like game-breaking bugs. It seems gamers have been clamoring for another installment in the series since the second one came out back in 2010. And now that it’s finally here, they are loving it – it’s everything we’ve been wanting games to be! These motherfuckers did it right! Finally, a Developer listens to real gamers like me!
But some big name developers aren’t too happy about this game’s success. They’re complaining that 3rd party studios being held up as examples will force them to improve their own products. I mean really? Are these guys serious? If you want to compete with Baldur’s Gate III, then step your game up, wussies! It’s not like gamers don’t deserve better than what many AAA companies have been putting out lately- buggy, uninspired messes that feel more like a chore than an adventure. So let the competition begin; we’ll see who comes out on top in terms of quality and player satisfaction. Those things equal sales, by the way. And Baldur’s Gate III is selling all over the place! The gamers will have their say, and they don’t like bullcrap.
Personally, I think it’s about time some new blood shook things up in the gaming industry. The big boys have had their day in the sun for long enough. Now it’s time to give indie studios and smaller teams a chance to shine. And if Baldur’s Gate III is any indication, they won’t disappoint! Let’s hope this trend continues so we can keep seeing great games coming from all corners of the world- not just those with deep pockets or famous names attached to them. This is the kind of diversity I can get behind. Long live diversity in gaming!
